Wanda's Case — Assault (domestic) —
Police Report
Client: Wanda, Complainant
Accused: Jeeves, Wanda's husband
Charge: Assault, Criminal Code, s. 266
Police Report: On June 2nd, 2000, at about
7:00 p.m., the victim of the incident, Wanda F., arrived home at
her residence located at 44 Jedi Boulevard in the Town of Unionville.
Upon entering the house, Wanda noticed that her two children had
been outside swimming in the pool. Her son Jacob has an infection
and is currently on antibiotic medication. Wanda then turned to
her husband and asked him why he allowed them to go outside to swim.
The Accused, Jeeves F., replied that the boys had not asked him
and that they had gone straight outside and had gone swimming on
their own. At this point, a verbal argument ensued.
Wanda explained to the Officer that her husband likes to talk with
his hands, and that, when she asked him not to talk to her like
that, she was holding her hands out with her palms up. At this point,
the Accused, Jeeves F., knocked Wanda's left arm away. This caused
scraping on the inside of Wanda's left arm from the elbow to the
wrist. This caused three distinct red scrap marks where the skin
was stippled. The injury was noted by Constable S****.
Wanda, at this point, was scared and wanted to
call police to get some advice. She was connected directly through and
spoke with the complaint taker, and, as a result, police were dispatched
to the house. After police arrived at the house and spoke to Wanda,
Jeeves F. was arrested, transported to 1 District, and spoke to duty
counsel. After speaking to duty counsel, the Accused was logged in
a cell, pending a show cause hearing for Saturday, 3 June 2000. BACK
