Vincent's Case — Possession Narcotic — Police Report Client: Vincent, Accused Police Report: On Monday, the 26th day of November 2001, at approximately 11:52 a.m., the accused was observed driving north-bound on Sugar Avenue from Cane Street West, in the City of Toronto, in an erratic manner. The accused's vehicle, a black Honda Prelude, Licence Plate RTM 385, was observed to make several lane changes cutting off other vehicles and failing to signal. The vehicle was subsequently stopped southbound on Honey Street and Rye Avenue, Toronto. An investigating Officer first spoke with the accused through the driver's window, and an immediate strong odour of marijuana was detected from the inside of the vehicle. Police observed a large amount of marijuana roaches in the open ashtray of the vehicle. The male was arrested for possession of marijuana. Subsequent to the arrest, a small amount of marijuana was seized from the accused. This marijuana was located in the male's front left pants pocket in a clear plastic baggie. The accused was advised of his rights to counsel and legal aid, and then released on an Appearance Notice. |
