Trevor's Case — Assault (Domestic) — Police Report Client: Trevor, Accused Police Report: The accused, Trevor S., and the victim, Nancy K., have been married since 1991. They have no children. They have been having financial difficulty since the accused has been laid off, and this has been stressful on their relationship. On Saturday, the 27th of November 1999, at approximately 9:40 p.m., Trevor S. and Nancy K. were in their apartment located at 62 Paris Street, Apartment 26, in the City of Toronto. Nancy K. had requested some privacy in order to use the computer. Trevor S. became agitated at this request, picked up a stool, and pointed it at her. He then grabbed her by the shoulder and pushed her against the wall. A few items fell from the bookshelf. The victim then called the police. As she was doing this, the accused picked up the items on the floor. He awaited the arrival of the police. At 10:26 p.m., the accused was arrested, advised of his rights to counsel, and transported to 51 Division where he was charged accordingly. The victim was not injured in this incident. |
