Silvio's Case — Assault & Weapons — Police Report Client: Silvio, Accused Police Report: On the 18th of September 1999, at 2:20 a.m., the accused exited Lido's Bar on Ale Street East in the City of Toronto with several friends. All had been drinking for the entirety of the evening. As the accused was walking past the victim, the victim advised the accused that he resembled a particular actor. The accused went berserk and withdrew a folding knife from his pants pocket, which he forced to the victim's throat. The accused held the knife to the victim's throat while muttering to her for a period of time until a patrol police vehicle drove past. The accused then concealed his weapon and the victim ran to report the assault. The accused was arrested shortly after. The accused was transported to 55 Division where he was charged accordingly. The victim in the matter, although extremely upset, was not injured in the assault. |
