Nick's Case — Fraudulent Use of Credit Card — Police Report

Police Report:  On Tuesday July 15th, 2008, the victim was at the Pearl Mall located at Keener Road and Stevens Avenue West and saw the accused Daniel M. who, earlier on July 6th, 2008, had threatened the victim with a small black handgun. At this time, Daniel M. was with another male, later identified as Nick J. The victim called police. Police attended the scene and spoke with the victim. The accused Daniel M. was then located walking in the parking lot towards his vehicle with Nick J. The vehicle was rented by Nick J. Both accused were investigated and subsequently arrested. Both accused were given their their rights to counsel and transported to 42 Division and processed accordingly.

While at the 42 station, it was noted that the accused Nick J. had TD Canada Trust convenience card no. 1234 567 8** 1** in his possession. TD Canada Trust was able to confirm the convenience card was registered to Cathy W. J***. The accused had Cathy W. J***'s personal information written on a piece of paper that was attached to the convenience card.
