Jerome's Case — Assault (domestic) — Police Report Client: Jerome, Accused Police Report: On Tuesday, the 2nd of March 1999, at approximately 9:30 p.m., the accused before the Court, Jerome N., was at his residence located at 12 Marshmallow Drive, Apartment 21, in the City of Toronto. At this time, he got involved in an argument with his common-law wife, Kimberley B. Due to this argument, the accused became very upset and started punching and slapping the victim in the face and other parts of her body. At one point, the accused had the victim by the hair, and was choking her. The accused stopped the assault and let the victim go. On Wednesday, the 3rd of March 1999, at approximately 10:15 p.m., the accused, Jerome N., attended the victim's place of employment, located at 11 Cream Street West in the City of Toronto. The accused was driving the victim home to their residence when he got very angry with the victim's behaviour. At this time, the accused punched the victim numerous times in the face, and other parts of her body. The assault on the victim continued for the whole ride home, as well as in the hallway of the building. Once they reached the apartment, the assault stopped due to the victim's mother being there. On the 4th of March 1999, the victim contacted the Halton Regional Police, and, as a result, on the 5th of March, the accused was arrested and taken to 53 Division where he was charged accordingly. The victim fears the accused, and has went into hiding to avoid any possible harm to herself or their child. Injuries: Bruise in front of her left ear. Sore ribs, left arm, face, and lower left side. |
