Eric's Case — Assault (Domestic) — Police Report

Police Report:  On the 22nd of February 1999, the accused attended 81 Cinnamon Street, the residence of Tanya D. and her husband. The accused has two children with Lori W. The children are Elliot, 2 1/2 years old, and Dolly, 11 months. Lori W. and the accused are separated. Lori W. is living with Tanya D. until she makes arrangements for her own residence.

The accused attended 81Cinnamon Street to drop off the children to Lori W. An argument occurred over support payments to Lori W. and some license plates on a vehicle parked at this address. The argument escalated and the confrontation became physical. The accused grabbed Lori W. by the left arm and attempted to throw her onto the roadway - traffic southbound was approaching. Bruising was noted to the victim's left upper arm. The victim fought off the accused. As she did so, she received a strike to the right side of her face, leaving some bruising and two scratch marks to her chin area and right cheek. The accused wiped blood on the right cheek of Lori W.

During the altercation between Lori W. and the accused, Tanya D. was standing inside her residence. When she heard altercation, she went outside. She was approached by the accused who, in a slapping type of motion, tried to strike her face. He wiped blood on the right side of her face. 

The accused departed prior to police arrival.

Police Constable Noble of 54 Division, Toronto Police Service contacted Durham Regional Police Service, and spoke to Police Constable Riley Police Constable Noble advised that the accused, Eric T., has attended 54 Division to report the incident occurring earlier this date in Oshawa.

Police Constable Riley requested that Police Constable Noble arrest Eric T. on grounds for assault, and hold Eric T. for return.
