Dolly's Case — Fraud (workplace) — Withdrawn Between Ontario Court of Justice Withdrawn: 25 January 2007
¶ 1 MS PENNEY: All right, if we could call the matter of Dolly W., please? ¶ 2 MR. PENNEY: Dolly W. Good morning, Your Worship. Penney, initial C. Numbers 171 forward, Mr. Clerk. There's two W.'s. This is W., Dolly, six counts of fraud under. A certain action was supposed to be done by Ms W., and that's been done. I think my friend has an endorsement there from the Crown Ms K***. ¶ 3 MS PENNEY: Yes, that's correct, Your Worship. I understand the matter was judicially pre-tried and... ¶ 4 MR. PENNEY: It was Crown pre-tried, in fact. ¶ 5 MS PENNEY: Crown pre-tried and I do have a notation from my colleague to withdraw if restitution is made. Mr. Penney has provided me with a letter indicating that $1,990.35 has been provided to him in trust and I take it that it is or will be paid to M*** store? ¶ 6 MR. PENNEY: Well, I have the envelope with the stamp on it in my hand. That will be in the mail today. ¶ 7 MS PENNEY: Thank you very much, sir. In that situation, then, Your Worship, the Crown is asking that all charges be marked withdrawn. ¶ 8 THE COURT: All charges withdrawn. ¶ 9 MR. PENNEY: Thank you so much. Thank you, my friend. ¶ 10 MS PENNEY: And that was six counts of fraud under $5000. ¶ 11 CLERK OF THE COURT: Exactly. |
