Brad's Case — Assault with Weapon — Police Report Client: Brad, Accused Police Report: The accused and the victim worked together at Donam, an automotive parts manufacturer. The victim in this matter was at work on the 29 May 2006. The victim and the accused had exchanged words. The victim did not think anything of it at the time. The victim was sitting at his desk filling out some paperwork when the accused came by him and slammed a pipe wrench down beside the victim and the gave the victim the middle finger. The victim returned the gesture. The accused came back at the victim and kicked the victim in the groin area. The accused then walked away. The victim remained sitting at his desk and did nothing. A few minutes later the accused came back with a pipe and began beating the victim on the arms and back. The victim was trapped in a corner and managed to get a knife out of his tool box and fight the accused off. The accused then left the area. The victim went immediately to his foreman and advised him of the situation and his injuries. At no time were the police contacted by either the foreman, the victim, or the accused. The victim went home that morning and attended at Peel Memorial hospital
