Arnold's Case — Assault (Domestic) — Police Report

Police Report:  On Sunday, May 7th, 2006 the victim was entering Woodbine Entertainment Group employee entrance located at 555 Rexdale Boulevard in the City of Toronto. At Approximately 4:30 p.m. the victim was entering the employee elevator when she was approached by the accused. The accused began to question the victim about who she is possibly dating. The accused questioned her about who she might like and if that person slept over at her place. The victim replied "no," at which point the accused angrily stated "you're lying," while putting his hands in the area of her shoulders, and pushing her backward causing her to step back and contact the back of the elevator.

The victim, not wanting to cause an embarrassing scene, left the area immediately. The victim began working her shift, but was not feeling well as a result of the assault and went to her supervisor to see if she could leave early. The supervisor noticed something was wrong with her and began to inquire. Following the meeting, the victim attended the Woodbine O.P.P. office located in the same building and reported what had happened.

The O.P.P. contacted 23 Division Toronto Police and relayed the information. The victim attended 23 Division and a investigation commenced.

As a result of the investigation, the accused was identified. On Monday the 8th of May 2006, the accused was arrested, transported to 23 Division, and charged accordingly. The accused was released by way of form 10/11.1
