Alvin's Case — Criminal Harassment — Police Report

Police Report:  On Monday the 11 of August 2008, *** employees received an e-mail from Front Services Attendant Emily T.'s personal hotmail account. The e-mail was sent to 29 *** employees working at their head office. The e-mail contained a sexually suggestive narrative with 15 attached sexual and pornographic photographs of the victim Emily T. posing nude as well as the victim performing sexual acts with a male figure.

The male figure in the photographs was her ex-boyfriend Alvin G. who took the photographs with his digital camera.

The victim ended the affair with Alvin G., because he declined to leave his wife which he promised the victim he would do. Following the ending of the relationship, Alvin G. continued to communicate, and attempted to date the victim.

There is a prior incident regarding this victim.

The accused was arrested in May 2006 for assaulting the victim at *** head office. Toronto Police Service arrested Alvin G. and released him on a Promise to Appear and undertaking with conditions. As a result, Alvin G. was let go as an employee at ***. Alvin G. failed to abide by the conditions by communicating with the victim through cards and emails. The accused entered into a peace bond concerning the victim, with a no-contact condition for one year. Following the expiry of the peace bond, the accused began to communicate with the victim again through text messages, voice mail messages, and phone conversations. Finally, the accused sent a sexually explicit e-mail with attached pornographic photographs of the victim nude including photographs of the victim and the accused in a sexual act to the victim's fellow employees and her former co-workers.

At 8:33 hrs, D/C R*** and D/C G*** attended *** Road in Brampton.

At 8:35 hrs, the accused was arrested, searched, and handcuffed.

At 8:39 hrs, the accused was read his rights to counsel and advised he understood. The accused advised that he would like to speak with a lawyer, however, was satisfied with waiting until reaching detachment.

At 8:41 hrs, the accused was read his rights and cautioned. He advised he understood.

At 8:42 hrs, the accused was read his supplementary caution, and he advised he understood.

At 8:45 hrs, the accused was transported to Toronto Detachment located at Highway 401 and Keele Avenue in Toronto.

At 9:21 hrs, the accused was lodged in cell 3 at Toronto Detachment.

At 9:50 hrs, duty counsel was contacted and a message left.

At 11:05 hrs, duty counsel was contacted again and a message left.

At 11:22 hrs, the accused had an opportunity to speak with duty counsel.
